BACOLOD City – A man was electrocuted while allegedly stealing cable wires along Burgos Street in Barangay 18 here.
The 34-year-old Johnvic Lumayao of Purok Himaya, Barangay Alijis was knocked unconscious.
Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, Police Station 2 commander, said one of their teams conducting a routine patrol spotted a parked tricycle.
In a rush to escape, Lumayao grabbed an open wire.
His two accomplices, who remained unidentified, carted P17,000 worth of cable wires.
Lumayao was treated at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital before being transferred to the Police Station 2 custodial facility./PN
