Glammed up with a baby is ‘not my reality,’ admits Isabelle Daza

Model-actress Isabelle Daza acknowledged that her social media posts paint a “glammed up” – and misleading – picture of what it’s like to be a recently new mother.

On Instagram, Daza opened up about the first 8 weeks of caring for her newborn with husband Adrien Semblat, pointing out that her glamorous image online “isn’t my reality.”

A fitness enthusiast, Daza said “one thing I struggled with is definitely my weight gain,” adding that her carefully curated photos, with full makeup and fashionista clothes, are her way of “compensating.”

“I just don’t have the guts to post my eye bags and disheveled hair,” she wrote.

Nonetheless, the 30-year-old Kapamilya star said she has been “loving every minute” of her learning experience as a first-time mother, including getting the hang of breastfeeding and having a routine

Describing her first 2 months as a mother as “both wonderful and a challenge,” Daza shared she has had to learn “how to latch the baby, burping him, then putting the baby back to sleep after burping, taking him [for] a bath and worrying about jaundice, and singing weird rhymes to appease him” whenever her son cries.

She said the next step is to start introducing the bottle for feeding, “so I can have a few extra hours of rest at night.” (ABS-CBN News)
