ILOILO – Another aide of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. was infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Thursday.
The aide exhibited flu-like symptoms so he underwent a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test on Wednesday, according to Atty. Suzette Mamon, provincial administrator.
Defensor subsequently decided to undergo strict home quarantine.
“After pila ka days maybe mapa-swab sia,” Mamon added.
This is the second time that an aide of Defensor became infected with COVID-19.
Last month, he had an aide who tested positive for the virus.
Meanwhile, as of yesterday, the Iloilo provincial capitol had 26 total coronavirus cases./PN
