This was how Mayor Agustin Ernesto Bascon described the new city hall of Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
The structure – with a P198-million budget – stands on a 3-hectare lot in Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan City.
Secretary Francis Tolentino of the Political Liaison and Administrative Office represented President Rodrigo Duterte at the inauguration yesterday.
The construction lasted five years. Bascon considered the new building his legacy.
Bascon also disclosed his plan to ask the national government’s assistance in concreting the Himamaylan-Tayasan Road.
“It will be the fastest route to Negros Oriental,” stressed Bascon./PN
