JANINE Gutierrez slammed rumors that she’s expecting a child, taking to her social media page to clarify that these are just “fake news.”
The actress recently attended the wedding of a close friend where she wore a blue halter dress, as seen on her Instagram page on Monday, March 9.
While most of the comments were compliments for Gutierrez and the friendship she has with the bride, one statement caught the actress’ attention.
“Sabi sa balita buntis daw si Ate Janine? Pero ‘di naman siya mukhang buntis dito,” an Instagram user wrote, opting not to expound the source of the claim. (There are claims that Janine is supposedly pregnant? But she doesn’t look pregnant here.)
Gutierrez then stressed in response, “Fake news!”
Gutierrez is currently in a relationship with actor Jericho Rosales. The couple, who first sparked dating rumors in July 2024, celebrated their first anniversary in September 2025. Rosales appears to get along pretty well with the actress’ family, as the actor has been frequently seen attending family gatherings with her.
