ILOILO City – A man was wounded after his drinking buddy stabbed him in Barangay Inangayan, Santa Barbara, Iloilo.
The 34-year-old resident James Calinao attacked the 45-year-old Erwin Maripusa around 10:45 p.m. on Dec. 21, police said.
It was however not immediately clear what triggered the altercation.
Maripusa sustained a stab wound on the left side of the body. He was brought to the Western Visayas Sanitarium Hospital in Santa Barabara for medical treatment.
Calinao allegedly used a screw driver to stab Maripusa. He was arrested and detained in the lockup cell of the Santa Barbara police station./PN
