ILOILO City – A 65-year-old man was shot by his neighbor in Barangay Patlad, Dumangas, Iloilo.
He was identified as Freddie Ernite who sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the body, a police report showed.
The 44-year-old Jeffrey Didal was tagged suspect, it added.
The reason behind the killing was still unclear but police investigators said prior to the shooting on Saturday, Ernite and Didal figured in a heated argument.
The victim died while being treated at the Ramon Duremdes District Hospital in the said town.
Officers of the municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
