ILOILO City – A 55-year-old man died while his wife was injured when the motorcycle they were riding crashed against a parked truck in Barangay Rizal Ilawod, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
Benigno Llorente of Barangay Anuang, Cabatuan died at the Ramon Tabiana Memorial Hospital in the said town due to head injuries.
Benigno’s wife Lucia, 52, sustained body injuries. She was brought to the Metro Iloilo Hospital in Jaro district for medical treatment.
According to the police, the crash happened around 11:07 p.m. on Jan. 18.
The victims reportedly did not notice the truck parked along the road and rammed into the back portion of the vehicle./PN
