ILOILO City – A motorcycle driver died while his two back riders were injured in a road crash on McArthur Drive, Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district.

Rague Pedrajas of Anilao, Iloilo was taken to St. Paul’s Hospital Iloilo on Thursday but was declared “dead on arrival.”

Rezzy John Cabarillos, 21, of Barangay Vista Alegre, Anilao and Cyril Poñate, 17, of Barangay Tacas, Jaro were brought to West Visayas State University Medical Center. They sustained minor injuries.

Superintendent Alexander Rosales, chief of the Iloilo City Police Office’s Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Section, said the motorcycle was travelling from Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro when Pedrajas lost control around 12:45 a.m.

All three were thrown off the vehicle when it hit the road gutter and fell on the pavement, said Rosales./PN
