BACOLOD City – Four people robbed a motorcycle store outlet in Barangay Poblacion 2, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

They exchanged gunshots with responding officers led by Police Officer 3 Alan Tajanlangit, Sagay City police station said.

The culprits carted away some P57,000 cash and three cellphones.

The incident happened at around 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police stopped firing when they learned that some employees were still holed up in the Rusi motorcycle outlet at the time. This enabled the suspects to run to the back of the compound where the outlet was to escape.

Two Rusi employees called the police for help – Joie Lopez Lado, 35, of Tanjay City, Negros Oriental and Dick Anthony Callet, 24, of Bindoy, Negros Oriental.

Their fellow employees called them via cellphone to inform them about the robbery, the police said./PN
