ILOILO City – The No. 1 fugitive in the town of Laua-an, Antique was finally arrested on March 1 in Batangas City after almost 16 years of hiding from the police.
The 48-year-old Rolly Pacete of Barangay Leon, Laua-an was charged with murder in 2001.
He was arrested by operatives of Laua-an Batangas City police stations around 1 a.m.
Pacete worked as a construction foreman in Barangay Sta. Clara, Batangas City. His arrest warrant was issued by Judge Rafael Penuela of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 64.
According to Senior Inspector Rex Farren, Laua-an police chief, Pacete was charged for the death of Leonardo Necor Jr. in Barangay Leon, Laua-an on June 22, 2001.
Pacete then disappeared from Laua-an.
“He did not resist when he saw his warrant of arrest,” said Farren.
Pacete was detained at the Batangas City police station. He would be transported back to Laua-an./PN
