BACOLOD City – Facing murder charges, two men from Calatrava and Hinobaan towns in Negros Occidental were arrested in two separate police operations on Saturday.
They were Joemar Pasagdan, 27, of Calatrava’s Barangay Ilaya and Jhon Coronel, 27, of Barangay Talacagay, Hinobaan.
Pasagdan, the No. 3 most wanted person in Calatrava, was caught around 11:30 a.m. in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, police said.
Judge Arville Delgado of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 57 (San Carlos City, Negros Occidental) ordered Pasagdan’s arrest on Sept. 29, 2020.
Coronel, on the other hand, was arrested in his house around 3 p.m.
Judge Edwin Gomez of RTC, Branch 77 (Sipalay City, Negros Occidental) issued the arrest warrant on April 27, 2021.
The suspects were detainedin their respective towns’ police stations.
No bail bond was recommended for their temporary liberty./PN
