PAGCOR NAGPADALA NG ₱30M TULONG SA MGA BINAGYONG PAMILYA

AABOT sa Php30.41 milyon ang halaga ng food at non-food relief items na naipamahagi ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) sa mga komunidad na sinalanta ng malalakas na pag-ulan at pagbaha sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Ayon sa PAGCOR, may kabuuang 33,250 relief packs, na binubuo ng 17,000 food packs at 16,250 non-food items, ang naipamigay ng ahensiya sa ilang local government units (LGUs) sa Metro Manila at kalapit na mga probinsya.

“As millions in Metro Manila and other provinces suffer from torrential rains and floods triggered by the southwest monsoon and tropical storms, we quickly mobilized our relief operations teams,” ayon kay PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco.

“As the government’s partner in nation-building, we are morally and duty-bound to come to the aid of Filipinos in times of need, and that includes being one of the first responders when calamities strike,” dagdag niya.

Kabilang sa mga nakatanggap ng tulong ang mga LGU ng Maynila, Quezon City, Marikina, at Parañaque, at ang mga probinsya ng Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Bulacan, Occidental Mindoro, La Union, at Laguna.

PAGCOR representatives turn over a total of 2,500 food and non-food relief packs to representatives of the 2nd District of Batangas on July 26.

Naipamahagi ang mga ayuda mula sa PAGCOR warehouses sa Imus, Cavite at Angat, Bulacan, sa pamamagitan ng mga lokal na pamahalaan at logistics partners.

Nagbigay rin ang ahensiya ng food at non-food packs sa ACT Teachers Partylist at Nanay Partylist para ipantulong sa kanilang mga nasasakupan na apektado ng kalamidad.

“Our relief operations are ongoing and will continue in the coming days as we aim to reach out to more communities affected by the recent calamities,” ani Tengco. “Hopefully, we would be able to bring not just food and other essentials but also much-needed hope and support.”

Ayon sa ulat ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), tinatayang nasa 5.29 milyong katao o 1.46 milyong pamilya mula sa 17 rehiyon ang naapektuhan ng sunod-sunod na bagyo at habagat.
