KALIBO, Aklan – The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) postponed the implementation of parking fee collection at the Kalibo International Airport.

Airport manager Efren Nagrama said they need more time to prepare for the policy, which was initially set to start on Sept. 20.

β€œWe will issue a notice when will it (parking fee collection) officially start,” said Nagrama.

The policy was under the CAAP Authority Order No. 140-14 dated June 10, 2014.

Under the policy, vehicles parking at the airport will be charged with P20 for the first two hours and P10 for every succeeding hour.

Stickers will be given to government vehicles, airport employee vehicles, airport transport services, and others for their one-year parking, which they will pay in bulk.

Kalibo International Airport – one of the entryways to the world-famous Boaracay Island – is one of the busiest airports in the country. It caters to domestic and international flights. (PNA)
