KALIBO, Aklan – The Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) recognized the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Aklan Chapter (PCCI-Aklan) as its best regional partner for its demonetization program.
The 2017 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch was held on Wednesday at the Amigo Terrace Hotel in Iloilo City.
“We felt joy upon receiving the award from the BSP. We are not expecting this. This is the first time we received such an award,” said PCCI-Aklan president Ramel Buncalan.
With this year’s theme “Transforming Shared Vision into a Dynamic Partnership,” PCCI-Aklan expressed to continually support BSP.
Juan De Zuniga Jr., BSP monetary board member, attended as the guest speaker.
BSP’s Department of Economic Statistics deputy director Fernando Silvoza was also present.
Twelve more awards were given to the Department of Education Region 6, ABS-CBN Iloilo, KJ Fairmart, Navstar Gasoline Station, the Philippine Statistics Authority in Capiz, the Philippine Junior Institute of Accountants of the Dela Salle University in Bacolod City, among others./PN
