BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Negros Occidental is closely monitoring drug personalities who may influence the upcoming 2022 elections by pouring money to local politicians.
Nicholas Gomez, PDEA-Negros Occidental officer, said they would conduct a “link analysis” on the suspects or groups.
They also received reports of suspected narco-politicians; they need to verify these.
PDEA is also helping barangays that are yet to be cleared of illegal drugs.
Only 269 villages were declared “drug-free.”/PN
