MANILA – Philippine Air Force Lady Jet Spikers continued its rise in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference. It defeated Motolite Power Builders, 25-22, 25-23, 25-20, at the San Juan Arena.

Aklanon Dell Palomata and May Pantino top-scored with nine points each on Wednesday night while Joy Cases and Judy Anne Caballejo had eight and seven markers, respectively,

Wendy Semana also showed her way with 13 excellent sets and three points as the Lady Jet Spikers tallied its fourth consecutive victory after starting the Open Conference with 0-5 record.

“Ibinalik lang namin ang togetherness, ‘yung lumalaban kami as a team and naka-focus. Siguro ‘yun ang motivation namin na lagi naming pinanghahawakan. Sana magtuluy-tuloy na,” said Lady Jet Spikers head coach Jasper Jimenez.

Also helping the cause of the streaking Lady Jet Spikers was the continued absence of Power Builders stalwart Myla Pablo, who remained at the sidelines due to right metatarsal sprain. The Power Builders, who were also on a winning run before its current slump, were also out of sync the entire match as they gave up 30 errors to the Lady Jet Spikers.

Diana Carlos tallied 21 points, on 18 kills and three service aces, while Bernadeth Flora had eight markers and 14 digs as the Power Builders dropped to 6-3 win-loss record./PN
