BACOLOD City – Two persons were apprehended for illegal cockfighting in Barangay Mansilingan.
They were 72-year-old Marcelo Catalan of Murcia, Negros Occidental and 37-year-old resident Syrel Malata, a police report showed.
They were caught around 12:45 p.m. on Feb. 7.
Recovered from their possession were four gaming fowls, a gaff, and P430 bet money.
Catalan and Malata were detained in the lockup facility of Police Station 7, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
