PRO-6 nabs 13 drug suspects, seizes P600K ‘shabu’ in 24-hour ops

ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) 24-hour anti-drug operations resulted in the arrest of 13 drug suspects.

From 6 a.m. on August 27 to 5:59 a.m. on August 28, various police units across the region executed eight operations that also led to the confiscation of around 89 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P600,000.

The biggest yield came from the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-led operations wherein around P340,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from five suspects.

The Iloilo City Police Office followed with P12.27 million worth of shabu and four arrests, Bacolod City Police Office with P102,000 worth of shabu and three arrests, and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office with P9,200 worth of shabu and one arrest.

PRO-6 record further showed that of the 13 arrested, one was classified as a high-value target and eight others were street-level targets.

All suspects are now in police custody. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
