ILOILO – The elder brother voluntarily surrendered to the Maasin police station along with his 25-inch bolo after he hacked his younger sibling early yesterday morning, August 29, in the town’s Barangay Abilay.
Maasin police said the 52-year-old Teddy Montefrio attacked the 46-year-old Julian Montefrio after a heated argument ensued between them.
They were both drunk, police added.
The victim sustained wounds on his neck and hands. He was recuperating at the hospital.
In an interview, the suspect said he never had a misunderstanding with his brother but yesterday he challenged him to a fight./PN
