ILOILO City – Two drug pushing suspects were arrested in Caluya, Antique and Boracay Island in Aklan, police reports showed.
Edward Ladra, 37, of Barangay Poblacion, Caluya, Antique was arrested a buy-bust operation in the village at around 11 a.m. on Friday.
Ladra yielded four plastic packs of suspected shabu and P1,620 cash, including the marked money.
Caluya police took Ladra in custody.
Operatives from the Antique Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 helped in the operation.
At around 2 a.m. of the same day, the 50-year-old Marlon Visda was arrested in Barangay Yapak in Boracay.
Two plastic packs of suspected shabu and a P1,600 buy-bust money were seized from the suspect, a native of Nueva Ecija province temporarily staying in Yapak, police said.
The Boracay Tourist Assistance Center took him in custody prior to his turnover to the Malay police station.
Both Ladra and Visda were facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
