ILOILO City – Cases may be filed against a policeman whose patrol car fatally hit a 19-year-old lad in Barangay Matag-ob, Janiuay, Iloilo.
The family of John Emmanuel Gaje of Barangay Calansanan, Badiangan, Iloilo is readying the charge for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide against 31-year-old Police Corporal Nadje Castor.
Castor was a resident of Barangay Cahigon, Calinog, Iloilo and assigned at the municipal police station of Bingawan, Iloilo.
He drove the patrol car that hit Gaje who was crossing the road in Barangay Matag-ob around 11:50 a.m. on Jan. 26.
Gaje was brought to the Janiuay District Hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Castor, on the other hand, turned himself in to the Janiauy police station./PN
