AKLAN – Operatives of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) arrested the No. 1 most wanted at the regional level in Barangay Busay, San Jose, Romblon during a manhunt operation on Tuesday morning, September 1.
The suspect, identified by the aliases “Ron-Ron,” 24, is a resident of the said barangay.
He was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for statutory rape issued on August 19, 2026 by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 3 in Kalibo, Aklan. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
The joint operation was carried out by the Tracker Team of the Nabas Municipal Police Station (MPS), alongside the Aklan Police Provincial Office and the San Jose MPS in Romblon, as part of “Law Enforcement Operation Manhunt Charlie.”
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Nabas MPS for proper documentation and legal disposition.
PRO-6 director Police Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño emphasized that distance and regional borders will not hinder the police force in capturing fugitives.
He also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding the whereabouts of fugitives to local authorities.
