BACOLOD City – A retired school principal ended up in a hospital.

The 67-year-old Fabio Julom was stabbed in Purok Malinawon, Barangay Poblacion, Toboso, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, April 11.

Authorities identified the suspect as 46-year-old Roque Bibanco, a neighbor of Julom.

Toboso deputy police chief, Police Captain Rene Boy Eduardo, said Julom was repairing part of the road near Bibanco’s house when the latter suddenly stabbed the victim.

Despite sustaining stab wounds to his right chest and back, Julom managed to ask for help from another neighbor who brought him to the Toboso Municipal Health Office. He was later transferred to the Sagay District Hospital for further treatment.

Police arrested Bibanco who hid inside his home.
