Robbery, malicious mischief raps vs 2 Alijis burglary suspects

BACOLOD City – Criminal charges have been filed against the suspects in breaking into a money remittance center in Barangay Alijis.

Two of the four suspects have been arrested – Bobby De Los Santos, 18, and Ariel Habagat, 20, both residents of Barangay Villamonte.

They were accused of barging into an M Lhuillier branch in Bangga Metal at around 7:55 a.m. on Nov. 9.

Robbery and malicious mischief charges have been lodged against them at the City Prosecutor’s Office.

According to police investigators, the suspects climbed up the establishment’s roof top and gained entrance by cutting the galvanized iron sheet roofing and the plywood ceiling.

The suspects took P4,200 cash. De Los Santos and Habagat’s two other unidentified accomplices remained at large.

Police said the cost of damage on the establishment was pegged at P8,400.

Joint operatives from Police Stations 1 and 7 and the Intelligence Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office caught the two suspects.

Police Station 7 took De Los Santos and Habagat in custody./PN
