ILOILO City – Two persons were arrested for allegedly selling an unlicensed firearm and ammunition in Barangay Benedicto, Jaro district.
Police identified them as Osram Huertas, 64, of Barangay Simon Ledesma, Jaro and Roger Jangayo, 54, of Barangay Calumpang, Arevalo district.
Joint elements of the Jaro police station and the Iloilo City Police Office staged the entrapment around 5:45 p.m. on April 26.
The operation led to the recovery of a .45-caliber pistol with two empty magazines valued at P16,000, a police report showed.
The suspects were brought to the Jaro police station custodial facility.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against them./PN
