MAAYON, Capiz – A 76-year-old farmer was shot in Sitio Alawihaw, Barangay Balighot on Friday morning.
Percito Tolentino was initially taken to the Bailan District Hospital then transferred to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital where he died.
A suspect has been identified – retired public school teacher Pascual Dumagpi, 66, of Barangay Poblacion Tabuc.
Tolentino was on his way home on a carabao when attacked, initial police investigation showed. A .45 pistol was used on him.
Old grudge was one the angles police probers were pursuing.
