BACOLOD City – A man was arrested with suspected shabu in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified him as 37-year-old resident Jomar Baydal.
Baydal’s arrest came after village councilor Federico Paraon and village watchmen who were implementing enhanced community quarantine in the area frisked him around 12:05 p.m. on April 22, police said.
Two sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P6,000 were recovered from the suspect’s possession, the police added.
Baydal was detained in the lockup
facility of the San Carlos City police station, facing charges for violation of
Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
