BACOLOD City – Two robbery suspects, including a minor, were apprehended in front of a fast-food restaurant along BS Aquino Street in Barangay Villamonte.
The 21-year-old Herlyn Jarder of Victorias City, Negros Occidental was waiting for a passenger jeepney going to northbound terminal outside Jollibee-La Salle around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday when her coin purse was snatched, a police report showed.
The purse contained P5,000 cash, the report added.
Police Station 2 officers who were patrolling the area were able to arrest the suspects 18-year-old Jestoni Elardes of Barangay Mandalagan and a 16-year-old boy with the help of bystanders.
Elardes was detained at the Police Station 4 custodial facility while the boy was turned over to the Social Development Center in Barangay Taculing. (With Mae Singuay/PN)
