‘Thank you for making me feel like I live here,’ Khalid tells Pinoy fans

KHALID, the American R&B singer best known for his hit “Young Dumb & Broke,” has been touring Asia this past week.

He’s been documenting his different stops, that has so far included South Korea, Japan and Thailand, by posting photos on Instagram, mostly of him performing onstage.

This Saturday, he shared his favorite snap from Manila – and it appeared a little different from the rest.

One could notice that the focus seemed to be on the crowd, who were all holding up their phones and using them as flashlights to create a touching glittering image.

His caption was also telling about how much he enjoyed his concert in Manila, writing: “memory of a lifetime.”

Prior, a video by ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe showed Khalid pausing as he soaked in his Pinoy fans’ applause before telling them: “I just want to let you guys know that you are the loudest night so far.”

“By far. I would like to thank you for all the love and making me feel as if I live here,” he added.

Khalid’s Saturday concert at Mall of Asia Arena was his first in the country. His opening act was Kapamilya star James Reid.

His setlist included hits such as “OTW,” “Location,” and “8TEEN.” (ABS-CBN)
