ILOILO City – Three persons were caught engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Calao, Dumangas, Iloilo.
Taken to the Dumangas municipal police station were residents Judy Ignacio, 37; Exor Ganuhay, 58; and Noelyn Demonteverrde, 28, a police report showed.
Police chanced upon the suspects playing tong-its around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 11.
Recovered from their possession were a deck of playing cards and P269 bet money. The suspects are facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties
