ANTIQUE – A truck carrying motorcycles crashed into a roadside tree and fell into a rice field around 8 a.m. yesterday, August 29, in Barangay Idiacan, Pandan town.
Pandan police said the driver, 43-year-old Ermerson Mesa of Quezon City, and his helper, 47-year-old Edgar Posecion of Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, were unharmed.
According to the investigation of the Pandan Municipal Police Station, the truck was on its way to San Jose de Buenavista town to deliver the motorcycles when the accident happened.
Mesa lost control of the truck after its brakes malfunctioned.
All motorcycles were all also safe but the front of the truck was damaged, police added./PN
