BACOLOD City – Votes were allegedly bought in Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental in relation to yesterday’s barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, police said.
Resident Donato Domaguet reported a vote-buying activity to officers at the La Castellana police station by showing them a picture he took at around 9:50 p.m. on Sunday – the eve of the election day.
The picture showed a certain “Cano Baladiang” handing over cash to Ramonito Talabocon.
Baladiang and Talabocon were also residents of the village.
Domaguet – who reported the incident around 10:30 p.m. on the same day – said Baladiang told him to delete the picture.
According to investigators, Baladiang is a supporter of one of the barangay poll candidates, who they did not name pending investigation.
