Woman jailed for ‘stabbing’ son-in-law

Bacolod City – Police arrested a woman in a stabbing incident in Barangay Alijis.

Tagged suspect was 57-year-old resident Amelita Bacong, a police report showed.

Bacong allegedly stabbed her 35-year-old son-in-law Roberto Espartero around 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 1, the report added.

Espartero sustained a stab wound on the stomach, police said.

He was brought to the South Bacolod General Hospital here for medical treatment.

Bacong was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 7, facing charges./PN
