BACOLOD City – A 38-year-old woman was apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay
E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified her as Mary Jean Canindo, a resident of the village.
An undercover officer initially bought from Canindo a sachet of suspected shabu for P1,000.
Six more sachets of the prohibited substance valued at around P13,600 were seized during her arrest around 12:15 p.m. on Dec. 21, police said.
Detained in the lockup cell of the Silay City police station, the suspect faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
