ILOILO City – A resident of Zone 1, Barangay Compania, Molo reported to the police that a neighbor insulted her live-in partner, and called them and their children “thieves” in front of many people.
Joan Delfin told the district police that “Ping-pong” also attempted to strike Rodolfo Baguioro, a person with disability, with a beer bottle.
Baguioro was watching a basketball game around 6:45 p.m. on July 30 when his friend, identified only as “Tisoy,” offered him beer, but he refused and asked for a soda instead, a police report showed.
Then Ping-pong, already drunk, shouted, “Bay-e da ang lupog na kay kawatan na (Leave the crippled man alone. He’s a thief),” the report stated.
Delfin asked Ping-pong what his problem was.
“Kay kawatan kamo, pati mga bata mo (You’re all thieves, including your children),” Ping-pong told her, based on the police report.
Delfin and Baguioro had two children, aged 8 and 9 years old, police said.
Officers referred their case to the barangay lupon./PN
