ILOILO City – He was caught soliciting bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies.”
Abelardo Lingga was arrested around 9:50 a.m. in Nov. 7 in Barangay P.D. Monfort South, Dumangas, Iloilo, a police report showed.
Recovered from the 63-year-old resident of Barangay P.D. Monfort North, Dumangas were P120 bet money and gambling paraphernalia.
He was taken to the Dumangas police station. Charges for violating Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling will be filed against Lingga./PN
