ILOILO City – Police in Sibalom, Antique have arrested a suspected illegal gambler.
The 30-year-old Joevert Macuana has been charged with violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling, a police report showed.
Officers served the resident of Barangay Igpanolong, Sibalom a warrant of arrest at around 9:25 a.m. yesterday in Barangay District III (Poblacion) in the town.
The bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty has been set at P5,000.
It was not immediately clear as of this writing if Macuana has posted bail./PN
