HIGHER liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices were implemented early morning of January 1, 2026.
Petron Corporation announced in an advisory on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2025, that it would increase the price of its LPG by P2.18 per kilogram, effective 12:01 a.m. on January 1.
Petron’s price hike translates to an increase of P23.98 for a typical 11-kilogram LPG tank.
“This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of January,” the company said.
In a separate advisory on December 30, Solane also announced the same price hike, inclusive of value-added tax, which was implemented at 6 a.m.
The P2.18-per-kilogram hike is equivalent to an increase of P23.98 for the household-standard 110kilogram LPG tank.
Data from the Department of Energy showed that the prices of an 11-kilogram LPG tank currently range from P803.04 to P1,102.00.
Last December 1, 2025, Petron and Solane also implemented price increases in their LPG products. (Philippine Daily Inquirer)
