Even as 2025 nears its end, M Lhuillier Financial Services Inc., through its charitable arm ML Cares Foundation, continues to deliver meaningful support to communities, proving that its commitment to education and inclusivity doesn’t follow a calendar. This dedication is reflected in the recent turnover of a newly constructed PWD restroom at Eugenio J. Hobilla Memorial Elementary School at Cabatuan, Iloilo, a project that directly addresses the needs of learners with disabilities and reinforces the belief that every student deserves a safe and accessible learning environment.
For PWD learners, having a facility designed specifically for their needs is a vital step toward comfort, dignity, and independence. The new restroom provides a safer and more inclusive space, making daily routines easier and helping students feel more supported within the school.
The project began with a proposal from Head Teacher III Lorna B. Navarro, who expressed heartfelt gratitude during the turnover ceremony. She emphasized the importance of accessible facilities in promoting equal opportunities and helping students feel valued.
To further assist the school community, M Lhuillier also donated a desktop computer set, printer, school supplies, giveaways, and a lighted school signage—additional resources that help improve both the learning experience and the overall campus environment.
The turnover event also featured a Safety Awareness Symposium led by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, offering practical guidance on crime prevention and community safety. A concluding tree-planting activity served as a symbol of growth and the long-term impact of collective action.
Reflecting on the project, Ma’am Lorna shared, “Kindness and generosity are the heart’s ways of leaving a mark that no time can erase.” The PWD restroom, proudly marked with the M Lhuillier name, symbolizes how the company’s dedication does not slow down at year’s end. Instead, it reinforces M Lhuillier’s ongoing mission to champion accessibility and inclusion for all learners—especially those who benefit the most from thoughtful, learner-centered facilities.
