BACOLOD City – The provincial government of Negros Occidental announced that visitors to the Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary can now enjoy a more convenient and comfortable experience with the introduction of newly acquired golf carts.
To enhance guest services, the resort now offers shuttle rides from the main gate to designated huts or rooms, particularly for those arriving via public utility vehicles (PUVs). After peak check-in and check-out hours, a hop-on, hop-off service will be available every 15 minutes, allowing guests to easily explore the resort grounds at their leisure.
In addition, senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and families with young children may request personalized golf cart tours through the front desk.
According to the provincial government, the new service reflects Mambukal’s commitment to accessibility and improving the overall guest experience for visitors of all ages and needs.
Meanwhile, the Negros Occidental Tourism Division announced that the 25th Negros Occidental Tourism Week will be held on September 15–20 with the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.”
The week-long celebration will showcase the culture, flavors, and attractions of the province’s 32 local government units through a series of events, exhibits, and activities.
One of the highlights is a photography contest encouraging participants to capture the breathtaking destinations of Negros Occidental while promoting sustainable travel. Entries may feature eco-conscious accommodations, conservation efforts, thriving local communities supported by tourism, or responsible travel practices such as mindful wildlife encounters and low-impact activities.
Prizes include P8,000 and a plaque for first place; P6,000 and a plaque for second; P5,000 and a plaque for third; P4,000 and a certificate for fourth; and P3,000 and a certificate for fifth place.
