Siblings yield P340K ‘shabu’

ILOILO City – Two siblings yielded about 50 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P340,000, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Don Esteban, Lapuz district around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14.

Suspects June Mark Distro, 29, and Michael Distro, 24, were residents of the said place.

A police poseur buyer bought from the suspects a heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu for P3,100.

Officers of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by Police Captain Marlon C. Perez, together with Iloilo City Police Station 2 – Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) personnel Jose Val Ladublan, and Iloilo City Mobile Force Company (ICMFC) led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Romeo Vargas, carried out the operation.

The Distro brothers were taken to the La Paz Police Station.

They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
