BACOLOD City – A sugarcane plantation worker was found dead in Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Wenceslao Calago had gunshot wounds on the chest and multiple stab wounds on the back and stomach, police said.
Rosemarie Domingo, 31, discovered the body of the 53-year-old resident of Barangay Masulog on Tuesday dawn.
Calago left work around 11 p.m. without permission from their timekeeper, coworker John Ray Talidong said.
Calago’s wife Raphaela identified the body, which was taken to a local funeral parlor.
