ILOILO City – A tricycle driver was killed in a road accident in Barangay Pandan, Dingle, Iloilo.
Rolly Daanoy Jr. of Barangay Ilajas, Dingle died of head injuries, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, the incident happened around 6:45 p.m. on July 19.
Daanoy was navigating the road when his tricycle crashed against a pickup of 24-year-old Joshua Cortez of Barangay Abangay, Dingle.
Daanoy was rushed to the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan town where the attending physician later pronounced him dead.
Cortez was detained in the Dingle municipal police station but is willing to settle the incident./PN
