ILOILO City – Police arrested a man who owns an unlicensed gun in Barangay Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan.
He was 44-year-old Sammy Galupe, a police report showed.
Galupe’s apprehension on June 23 came after police chanced upon him carrying a .45-caliber pistol loaded with seven live bullets.
He failed to show pertinent papers showing his legal ownership of the weapon, the police added.
The suspect was detained in the custodial facility of the Kalibo municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
