ILOILO City – For owning an unlicensed gun, a village councilman was arrested in Barangay Ago, Tubungan, Iloilo.
The 32-year-old Harold Tablazon was caught after the police raided his house on the strength of a search warrant around 6 a.m. on Dec. 7.
Upon his arrest, police recovered from Tablazon a .45-caliber gun with several live bullets.
The weapon was confiscated after Tablazon failed to present its license.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Tubungan police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act will be filed against him./PN
