ILOILO City – In a hospital was where a village councilman landed after he got shot in Barangay Atimonan, Janiuay, Iloilo.
The 38-year-old resident Jessie Lastimoso was recuperating at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district. He sustained a gunshot wound on the left arm.
The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Rodel Lastimoso, also resident of the village.
According to police investigators, Rodel without apparent reason attacked Jessie who was outside of their house using a 12-gauge shotgun.
A family feud was seen as the motive in the shooting that happened around 7 p.m. on May 30, police said.
Officers of the town’s police station were still searching for Rodel, who fled after the incident./PN
